  • Have you decided to move to the UK? Good idea, due to the fact that this country has a great potential when it comes to both economy and culture. Also, you cannot forget the great ways of having fun. But, before taking the idea of changing your living location into consideration, there are some things that you should do. Here is a small guide that includes the most important of them.

    1 – Take English lessons

You cannot move to the UK without being able to speak English, because you would have difficulties when it comes to finding a job or getting involved in any activity.

Communication is everything and when you decide to move in a foreign country, there is a high probability for you to start feeling alone. Thus, you have to get in touch with other people. Be friendly with your work mates, neighbours or class mates and ask them to join you for a cup of tea. But in order to make things work, you should be able to speak English. Also, do not seem desperate because they would think that you are a sociopath.

However, a great way of learning this language is via Skype. There are many tutors or native speakers who offer English lesson Skype, without asking you to pay a fortune. You just have to make some time and be ready to exercise your English. What is more, combine this method with others such as watching films that have English subtitles, listen to music and read books which are written in English. Improve your language skills would help you even if you plan to stay there only for a while.

    2 – Start looking for a job

Looking for a working place is something that you should take into consideration from the beginning. It would help you even if you plan to choose moving to the UK only for studying. For example, you can get a part-time job at a local restaurant or cafeteria or you can ask your teacher help you find an internship.

    3 – Rent a car

Even if choosing the alternative of traveling by the public means of transport is a more convenient one when it comes to money, if you decide to rent a car it would give you more freedom. For example, you can rent a house which is located not so close to downtown and you can negotiate paying less money for the rent of the home.

4 – Share the house with other people

Paying for the rent in the UK can prove a great challenge, even if you have a good salary. Thus, the best thing that you can do is to search for room mates and share the house together. But, the most important thing that you can do is to find those who are on the same wavelength with you. When we say that, we do not refer to zodiac signs, but to characters. Not everybody is able to live together. When you live with someone, you have to share a lot of things, not only the space.
